Why did DLSISD Call a Bond?

The Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD Board of Trustees voted to call for a bond totaling $45 million for the May 2026 election. This recommendation came from the facilities committee, comprised of members of the community, after months of work to determine and prioritize: Safety and Security, Educational Environments, and Financial Efficiency.

WHAT'S ON THE BALLOT?

New Construction

  • New PK-5 Elementary Campus

Safety and Security

  • Security vestibules at Junior High and High School

Parking Lots

  • Expanded High School parking upon removal of current neighboring elementary campus

Repurposing Previous Facilities

  • Upon completion of new elementary, current two campuses will be demolished or repurposed for other district use
